Kids Christmas Performances

We had a fun week full of our kid's Christmas performances. They all did fabulous. It's such a fun time of year for parties and performances. We love to see their progress every year.

Kaden is a Mama's boy. I was really nervous that he would not perform at his school and that he would only want to sit on my lap. He surprised me and did an awesome job. He sang, did actions, and stayed in his place. At school lately, Kaden will not take off his hat or his coat. He is a different child. He is very particular about things. I don't know how to explain it. Good thing he is so cute. They sang quite a few Christmas songs like Jingle Bells, Rudolph, We wish you a Merry Christmas and Santa Claus is Coming to Town. Then we had cookies and milk after for refreshments.
Kaden smiled at me and said there's my mama when we arrived. He stayed in his seat.

They had so many props and actions that they all paid attention so well.

Singing Rudolph. I couldn't believe he wore the antlers. But he would not wear the Santa hat.

Grammie came along with Adri and I. We had Cooper (Heidi Gorney's) with us also. It's fun to have a baby, but I'm glad I don't have one anymore. He's so cute with his blue eyes.

On my Anniversary we had our Ward Christmas Party. The kids were in the Nativity so we celebrated our Anniversary there. We are nice parents. Santa came and the kids had fun. We were one of the last families to leave. It was an enjoyable night. We had dinner, nativity, singing and Santa. Alex and Abby chased Santa after to find out who he was and where he was going. Why do big kids do that.
Kaden could not be in the Nativity, but next year he will be. He sat and watched with his buddy Renn. It was so nice not chasing a toddler and bouncing a baby. Kaden would only eat rolls that night and a cupcake. He is particular about food also.

Adri was an angel. I wish she always was an angel. She sat by Allie and tried to sing all the songs. What a sweet girl.
Alex and Abby were Nephites. They had quite a few speaking parts. Irelynd and Breeonah are standing with them. They had so much fun dressing up-thanks Cindy Anderson.

The night before the Ward party we had our annual Christmas Dance Recital. We left Adri and Kaden home with Emily Smith so we could enjoy ourselves. Grammie came and watched while Papa was at Justin's hip hop recital. We got there around 6:15p.m. and left around 9:30 p.m. Alex and Abby got to go out to Scone Cutter after for a good job treat. They are getting so old and it's so much fun to watch them progress. Thanks to all of their teachers and their training.

My cute girls. Alex had a boa dance and used a stool. This was a practice because this is a competition dance. Abby is in her hip hop costume. Everyone loved the costume when they went out on stage. It's different. This is her first year in hip hop and she really enjoys it. She is fun to watch and concentrates so hard. Alex chews on her tongue because she concentrates so hard. She's funny.

Abby did a Chinese dance in the Nutcracker. They rented these costumes and gave them back.

The Monday before Alex's team had to go perform at Draper City Hall's Christmas celebration. It was crowded and barely no room to dance. The girls looked so cute in their Nutcracker soldier costumes. Their ballet is so enjoyable to watch. They are getting so good.

On Thursday night, Dec. 11th, we went to American Heritage for their Christmas program. That place is brand new and it was so crowded. They are growing out of their school especially when they have special events like this. We could barely see the stage and so when Adri got up we ran and sat in front. That's the only way we could see her. She sang and paid attention better than other years. She is enjoying her year at American Heritage, but I think we are moving her back to Monte Vista next year. We left after Adri because we had to pick up Alex at dance.

Abby, Adri, Kaden and Dad. It was fun to see Adri shine.
