This is how we started and ended Easter Break. The kids got three days off from school. We went to Cafe Rio the first day and Menchies the last day. It's all about the food. What am I teaching my children? We also went to a movie. Abby was at a sleepover with a friend so the three kids and I went. Adri and Kaden would not agree on the same movie. Alex was the peace maker and took Adri to Hop and Kaden and I saw Rio. It turned out great. We all liked our seperate movies. 
We headed to Roosevelt Friday afternoon for G & G's homecoming and Caitlyn's baptism. It was the perfect Easter weekend. Saturday morning the kids woke up at their cousin's house. They all had a sleepover at Aunt Beckys. How weird to sleep at the McBrides with no kids. Renn and I visited with his parents Friday night and stuffed eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt. The kids were anxious to see what the Easter Bunny left at Grandma's house. By 8 a.m., they all came home. The Easter Bunny left candy, i tunes card, and a ds game. It also left a surprise at home. Each of the kids had a pillow pet waiting on their bed for them Sunday night.
What a neat weekend to be baptized. Caiti was baptized Easter weekend. We had a party Saturday for the baptism and Sunday for the homecoming. Lots of food and cousin love. Adri loves Caiti and they are cute cousins together.
After the baptism, we had a luncheon at the church. We had chicken haystacks and lots of cookies for dessert. The kids all seperate to their own tables. Boys, Girls, Big Girls, Big Boys, Adults. It's so fun to be in Roosevelt with so many cousins and family. My kids are completely entertained the whole time. After the luncheon, G & G passed around souvenirs from Africa. They told stories about little kids there. The grandchildren circled around, listened and anticipated their presents. G & G are so excited to share their experiences and we were excited to listen and be inspired. Awesome missionaires!!
Grandma had the older grandkids hide the eggs in her back yard after our luncheon. The kids were in a mad dash for eggs. Their faces were so funny when they were allowed to run. They looked in trees, bushes, high and low. They had a good time. They counted their eggs and their candy. They loved the egg hunt more than the candy!!! It was a little chilly outside, but no rain.
Then the fun began. The kids climbed trees, wrestled, found the treasures in their eggs and boys played hard. They took shirts off and had fights on the trampoline. Boys are crazy!! Some ended up crying. Later some of the kids went b b gun shooting at the gulch. Kaden is all boy in Roosevelt. I'm sure he would love to live there. He has five boy cousins out there. He is in heaven and dirty too.
We all sat around in the back yard and chatted for hours. All the little girls played silly games. They would start chanting an uncles name and then gather around them and bug them. It was silly and cute. All the men really enjoyed it. Haha. They played at the school park and ran from house to house. It was a fun afternoon to hang with family.That night, a few of the married children went to Don Pedros for Mexican dinner. We got all the middle kids to babysit. The older, teenagers, had a pizza party and movie night at Spencer and Shayes. Alex is now a teenager and she got invited. She had a great time with all the older grand kids. Sad she is now in the teenage group! We had an awesome dinner and then Cody, Rae, Randy, Jenn, Renn and I went to repo a car. The car had a flat tire. The ladies stayed in the get away car while the men pumped in gel stuff into the flat tire so they could drive it. As the men were filling up the tire, the owners pulled up and asked what they were doing. The girls and I were a little freaked out. Randy said, "We are fixing a flat tire." Haha. He told them the car was being repoed by Fast Cash and they were hired to get the car. The guy let them take it without a fight. As Renn pulled away, they noticed another tire was flat and off the rim. We sat while a tow truck was called. It was a fun night.
Sunday was Easter. No better day to have a homecoming than on Easter. Rena talked almost the whole meeting. I have heard so many missionary stories and I think there are still more. She has such an enthusiasm about her mission. I love it. Ted was powerful in his talk. They are great examples of service and how to love and live the gospel. I think they will be going back to Africa sooner than later. After the homecoming, we had another luncheon with ham and all the fixings at the church. Some of Rena's sisters came with their husbands and one of Ted's sisters came with her husband. Everyone lives far away and they traveled to be in Roosevelt. All the adults gathered after lunch and listened to more stories for a few hours. It was a great way to spend Easter!!! That's what Christ did on the earth was spread the gospel and bless the lives of others. We celebrate his life on Easter and we celebrate all the lives G&G touched while on their mission through Christs example. Welcome Home G & G McBride.

A few days after Easter, my parents came home to pack and leave for San Diego. I had to get a picture of them with their missionary tags. Life gets me down sometimes and my dad gave me a beautiful father's blessing the night before he left. I will miss my parents being there when I need some one physically, but I will always have the phone and be able to get guidance and love from them. I know they will be an asset to the Institute and Singles Wards in San Diego. Can't wait to hear all the stories.
Happy Easter!! Thanks to Christ and his atonement and resurrection that we can share a weekend like this with family, baptisms, missions and LOVE!!! Through him anything is possible!
