A few months ago, Tawny and I started planning a Girls Weekend. Vegas? St. George? Park City? The decision was Salt Lake so all of our friends could run back and forth to home or kids events.
I was running behind and Tawny's dad dropped her off at my house. Before we left, Tawny wanted the perfect picture. Abby was off track and the one taking all the pictures. Abby kept laughing and thought Tawny was silly. Tawny is a poser and picky picture girl. We were done and off. Distribution, Mall, Harmons for junk, dollar store, kindergarten, and finally lunch at Kneaders with Nancy.

We ate, laughed and talked for hours. Yum salads and desserts. Tawny and Nancy did not give me the message about gray and hot pink. We were off to the mall for more shopping and then headed to our hotel, The Hyatt Gateway!!
That night Robyn and Dani caught up with us. We went to the Blue Lemon for dinner. It's Nancy's all time favorite by Temple Square. I parallel parked perfectly with the help of Nancy moving some orange cones. We ate and ate and then some dessert too. We miss Tawny. She is hilarious and keeps us all laughing. Freaking put the cell phones away already! We must be Moms.
Dani went home and the rest of us went to a movie at Gateway. It was so nice to have the freedom to do whatever we wanted. We stayed up till after 2 a.m. catching up, eating, laughing, and discussing life.
Robyn's friend has MS and there just happened to be the MS Walk outside our hotel Saturday morning. We ate a little breakfast and decided we needed the exercise. It was a 5k and benefits went to MS. It was freezing, but enjoyable being with my girls.
The MS Walk was huge. The line goes back to the tall buildings. The rest of the girls had to go to baptisms, soccer games, clinics and so on. Tawny and I were in it for the long haul. We got ready shopped some more, Quilted Bear, and then had lunch at Costa Vida, flan and all.
It was such a fun weekend getting away. We ate all of our favorite foods and laughed with our favorite girlies. I love these girls. We all live around the valley except for Tawny who is in CO. Thanks for flying out just to be with us. That means a ton to us. We miss her every month at dinner. She is so full of life and we sense someone is missing. We have been buds for over 12 years, most of us. Hope it continues forever because we are all in the same stages of life and can relate!!! Love you girls. Thanks for spending time with me!! Times like this make us better moms and wives. Thanks daddies for handling things at home.
