4th of July Weekend!!!!

We started off the weekend with the Riverton parade. Every year we go watch the Riverton Parade on July 3rd. This parade still throws candy and the kids love it. My grandma and grandpa live right by the parade route and she saves me seats every year. Grandpa stayed home and rested this year, but Grandma Nelson came and caught candy for the kids too. It was a fabulous way to start off the weekend.

Renn woke us up bright and early to go boating. We have to get there before the marina gets busy so 7:30 rise and shine. It was a cloudy and not too warm when we arrived at 9 a.m. I was worried until 10 a.m. when the clouds went away and the sun came out to play. Then we were hot. The bugs were so bad before the sun came out. Jordy boy is in the picture swatting bugs like crazy. He was making me laugh so hard. He acted like he was getting attacked by a shark. As long as the boat was moving the bugs weren't too bad. Finally they were gone and we watched Jordy and Renn surf and boogie board. They are funny and entertaining.

Corbyn wanted my glasses and so I gave them to him. Abby and I got to go tubing together. My highlight of the day was going tubing with Jordan. This tube is smaller than our usual one. We squeezed in and had a crazy ride. We fell off a couple of times and had a riot. I crawled all over him just to stay on the tube.

Adri played cho cho train with the kids while Alex wakeboarded. Go Alex. She poses the whole time she is out there.

Here is our fabulous driver. Abby was so tired from staying up late and getting up early, she fell asleep. Her face got a little sunburned from that position.

Kade was a trooper and just put his feet him. Poor guy. He came home and zonked. I don't think he felt so hot all day. He is such a tough little tonsil man. We usually try to have our kids do at least 2 things. Abby tries to fall asleep or get out of it. That wasn't happening. She tubed with me and rode the knee board. We couldn't get her off once she got on. She did 360's and had fun.

Another one bites the dust!!! Adri.

We got home at 4 p.m. and went to our neighbors for a pool party and BBQ. We are so blessed to live by neighbors that have fun stuff. JK It is nice. After Kaden zonked in his bed, Renn came over and they ate. Alex and Irelynd had fun together all night.

Abby was found with the babies like always. She is our second mother. Adri and Eliza were making smores with fudge cookies and marshmellows. Such a good idea.

Kaden and Renn roastin marshmellows. There was so much to do in our neighbors back yard. My kids never got board and swam until dusk. The men played volleyball and that was fun to watch. It was a perfect night. Then it was time for the fireworks. Abby and sparklers.

I think my kids got a lot of sun today. Kaden loved sparklers. Adri and the kids all waited. It was such a joke getting sparklers lit as fast as they wanted them.

Alex posing as usual. There were a ton of fireworks. My kids are use to seeing the big ones at Riverton Park. This year we stayed at the neighbors. Adri kept asking when we would see fireworks. We told her those fountains were it. My kids are not use to the store bought fireworks. It was still a fun night with lots of friends, family and food. Thanks COOK family!

The Bass family was home from Yellowstone and our family party was on Sunday. We also celebrated Heather, Jordan, Adri and Brenna's b-days. The kids put on their Three Little Bears play. Nice costumes. They found old stuff in grandma's basement.

Abby as Goldilocks and Alex as the writer, narrator, and POSER!!!

Amongst all the confusion, you would find this picture. Emma reading books. She is a book worm. And Aunt Alli doing the splits. Alex and Abby were showing off and Aunt Alli jumped right in. Can you believe she can still do this??

The three boys were found outside fighting over two cars. Grammie always plans a couple of games. They did a cake walk, but got prizes instead of cake and they also played Skittle Bingo. I'm sure all the confusion is crazy for Grammie and Papa, but they sure had fun.

Grammie's house always looks festive. The grandkids all ate popsicles outside. Then it was time for the reading of the bday cards. When it's a b-day party, everyone has to write something nice about the b-day person and put it in a b-day bag. We had to do four people tonight. Adri had lots of nice comments. Most commented on her laugh, smile and infectious personality. Uncle Davie wrote this poem:
You are Talented, Special and Cute!
You are funny and such a hoot!
Your family is so lucky to have ya!
and Your lucky your dads not Matthya!
Matthew is one of my younger brother and it rhymed. We all laughed. Lexi and Adri and on David reading the notes. All the kids love him.
It was a fabulous 4th of July weekend. I love this country and I love that I have the freedom to raise my kids the way I see fit. It's a blessing from above that we all get to live here in this fabulous country where we can worship and do as we please. Happy 4th. Now it's Attack of the Bass week!!!!!

Such a fun weekend. My neighbor is the same way with her boat, making her kids do at least 2 things, that makes me laugh. It looks like you had an awesome time. I loved that Ali picture in the splits, what a woman!! It was so fun to see everyone tonight, make sure your mom knows that we appreciate her efforts in getting everyone together. We should really do it more often. I think we all really want to go to Daybreak Lake, we will bug you until it happens.

That looks like the best 4th ever! I think I would've had to go to bed after an early parade and a long day boating, you're an animal! You have to show me how to make the pictures side by side.

Your 4th looked so fun! I liked the pic of you chillin' on the boat and of all the kids snoozin - you all look so relaxed!

It's so sad that Alex is such a wallflower. So shy and withdrawn...I wonder when she will come out of her shell?

That poem is hilarious that your brother wrote, it looks like you had a blast w/the sibs. Your sister (who looks nothing like you) is amazing doing the splits - holy cow!

P.S. The word verification word is "pasters" - weird. Sounds like pasties which is kind of nasty naughty.
